Pinty’s workers ratify
On Sunday, August 1, 2010, the members working at Pinty’s Delicious Foods in St. Catharines, voted to ratify a new collective agreement, which brings an early end to their previous collective agreement.
- Over the course of the contract workers receive a lump sum payment of $520 each and a rate increase of 25 cents per hour.
- The company will contribute an additional 20 cents per hour toward the Canadian Commercial Workers Industry Pension Plan (CCWIPP) Stabilization Fund effective November 1, 2010.
- Employer contributions to the workers’ dental plan increase by 8 cents per hour effective November 1, 2010 and by a further 8 cents May 1, 2011.
