On May 6 & 7, 2011, customers and members at the Loblaws Gloucester showed their support for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and enjoyed a great barbecue at the same time! Culinary treats for sale included hot dogs, ‘chiens chaud’, pretzels and root beer.Union Rep Daniel Mercier manned the grill with the help of Reps Simon Baker, Paul Hardwick and Jacques Niquet.
Special thanks to Maple Leaf sales rep Shawn Bryers and Loblaws store manager Walter Klein for providing food and equipment for the barbecue.
Thank you to everyone for their generosity over the two-day barbecue. The $1,273 raised goes directly to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) of Canada.
