The Metro negotiating committee met with the company again on November 9 & 10 with the continuing goal of achieving a fair and equitable settlement for all members working at Metro.

Your committee is aware that the current contract expires before the next scheduled meeting. However, a work stoppage should only be considered when the hope of a settlement seems unlikely. At this point, your committee continues to work very hard on behalf of their Union brothers and sisters at Metro and the committee hopes to see the bargaining process through to a successful completion. No deadlines have been scheduled at this point.

Meetings will be scheduled for members when necessary. Members will be notified of any meetings through postings on their workplace Union bulletin board as well as via Twitter @grcrywrkrsunitd, the Grocery Workers United website and here at www.ufcw175.com.

The next set of bargaining is scheduled for November 29 & 30, 2011.
