New Collective Agreement for East Ferris

The Corporation at the Municipality of East Ferris has a new collective agreement. The three-year deal was ratified on December 13, 2011. Members will receive a $1.50 per hour raise in wages over the course of the contract. They will also have a $250 apparel allowance per year. In terms of vacation allocation, there is a new scale. After one year of service, members will be given 3 weeks of vacation. After 5 years they will be given 4 weeks off, at 10 years seniority they will be given 5 weeks and after 20 years they will have 6 weeks of vacation. These amounts rise by one week each from the previous contract. Members will be given an extra day for bereavement leave. It is now 5 paid days and members can request addition unpaid days if needed.
