The annual Shoot for a Cure hockey tournament was another great success this year. Over the two-day event, held May 11 & 12 in Hamilton, 16 teams took to the ice to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC).“This is one of the most successful tournaments we’ve had,” says President Shawn Haggerty. “We’re not simply having a fun weekend with our members, families and friends, we’re doing great fundraising work at the same time.”The 2011 champs Fearmans Pork, led by Servicing Rep Lionel McEachern, defended their title in a 4-3 victory over the team from Leamington’s Real Canadian Super Store on the final day of the tournament.RCSS team members also picked up a few trophies over the weekend including Cheyne Matheson, who received the trophy for most goals scored in the tournament, and Josh Quick for best goalie.
