Strathahaven Retirement workers gain new deal
Members at Strathhaven Lifecare Retirement Home secured their new two-year deal at a ratification meeting on March 2, 2012. Members will benefit from a 2% increase, retroactive to March 1, 2011 as well as an increase of 1.7% retroactive to January 1, 2012. In the final year of the agreement, wages will increase another 1.7%. Vision care improves from $60 to $150 every 24 months, while life insurance increases from $5,000 to $20,000. Workers will also benefit from a 6th week of vacation at 12% after 23 years of service with the company.
