Ottawa Coca-Cola workers ratify new deal
The new collective agreement for members at Coca-Cola in Ottawa was ratified at a meeting on June 8, 2014.
Wages increase over the term of the contract by 1% plus a $500 lump sum in year three, and subsequent increases totalling 6.75%. A new warehouse ‘replenisher’ classification has been added to the agreement.
Improved language permits more members access to prime vacation time. There is also an improved boot allowance of $185 per year. Workers will see their benefits and pension move to company plans, including a Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA) option.
