UFCW Locals 175 & 633 Members receive Labour Appreciation Volunteer Awards

On Thursday January 29th, the United Way London and Middlesex held its annual Labour Appreciation Awards Night. One of the winners for 2014 was Madalena Madruga (pictured below with her daughter Melissa) – Member UFCW Locals 175 & 633 employed at Cargill in London.

The Labour Appreciation Volunteer Awards recognize some of the most dedicated volunteers who help make United Way workplace campaigns so successful. Awards are given to union members who have worked on the frontline of their campaigns for several years, raising funds for the United Way of London & Middlesex.

The United Way Images of Hope Award recognizes the efforts of an extraordinary individual from the labour community who has provided outstanding volunteer service to United Way and to the community.  The 2014 recipient for this award was Jody Jones (pictured below with her award) UFCW Locals 175 & 633 Benefits Representative. This is a lifetime achievement and recognizes an individual in good standing of a union who has demonstrated leadership and contributed to major change.
