SAY NO and END Violence Against Women

November 25 and December 6 are important days in our calendar. The United Nations (UN) declared November 25 as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. In Canada, we observe a Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women on December 6 in honour of the 14 women who lost their lives due to violence at Montréal’s École Polytechnique in 1989.

UN Women took on a 16-day campaign to ‘Orange the World’ and end violence against women and girls globally. It’s an important campaign that reveals truths about the gender crimes in many countries. Our Executive Board members showed their support for the campaign at their November meeting (pictured below).
