10th annual Stratford Walk A Mile In Her Shoes
In Canada, 1 in every 4 women will experience abuse in their lifetime. Abuse against women affects more than just that woman, it will affect everyone who cares about them.
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® provides opportunity to get people talking. The event promotes prevention and education to help men better understand and appreciate women’s experiences thus changing perspectives. It demonstrates that men are willing and able to be courageous partners with women in making our world a safer place.*
The Stratford 10th annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes was held on April 21st at the festival market place. David Mote, pictured here is a steward at Zehrs store 557 in Stratford who participated in the walk which raised over $14,000 dollars for the Optimism Place in Stratford. Thank you to everyone who took part in the event.
