Cargill workers raise another $1445 for LLSC

Local 175 members working at the Cargill (Dunlop) facility in Guelph came out to two barbecues on September 1 & 2, 2010, to help raise $1445 for Leukemia research.“It was a great turnout. The members were very generous and raised a lot of much needed money,” says Kevin Dowling. “They bought lots of raffle tickets for some great prizes and had a great lunch – all for a worthy cause.”
Union Stewards Denise Remmerswaal, Jeanita-Lynn Barnes, Sharon Daudlin, John Beaton, Chief Steward Dan Guillemette and Union Committee Chair Rick Daudlin helped out cooking and serving burgers. Union Reps Kevin Dowling and Rob Nicholas along with Organizing Coordinator Rick Wauhkonen and Executive Assistant Ray Bromley also helped out over the two days.
