GS Dunn workers see gains in new deal
Members working at GS Dunn secured their new three-year collective agreement at a ratification meeting on September 19, 2012.
The new deal brings wage increases for both Operator classifications. Operator One workers receive 2.5% increase in the first year, as well as another 2% in the subsequent years. Operator Two workers receive a 2% increase in all three years of the contract. All workers benefit from a new shift premium of 65 cents per hour on the afternoon shift, and 75 cents per hour on the evening shift. Workers with 25 years of continuous service will now see six weeks of vacation per year with pay at 10% of their gross annual salary. All members receive a $140 per year towards safety footwear.
