Last weekend, stewards from Region 8 braved the weather to attend an educational weekend in Sault Ste Marie. Over the course of the weekend, the generous stewards raised $2,885 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada through prize draws, purchasing bracelets, taking a chance at a 50/50 draw and by donating to the Region’s Family Christmas Fund to support families in need during the holiday season. Check out the photos from the weekend!

In addition to the regular classes offered, stewards also had the opportunity to hear from, and sit down and speak with, various members of their local, provincial and federal government. Thanks to everyone that took part in that session! It was a great opportunity to ask questions and speak with our elected officials about the concerns that working families have.
