October 26, 2017 at 10:15am

The 50 members working both full and part-time at the B&B Roadhouse in Dryden achieved a new agreement on October 22, 2017.

The three-year term includes wage increases totalling 75 cents per hour. The wage grid includes provisions for additional increases over minimum wage to ensure rates stay ahead of any provincial minimums. In addition, Lead Hands receive an improvement to their shift premium.

Full-time employees now receive nine paid sick days per year, up from five, as well as a new dental plan.

Vacation entitlement improves to provide four weeks at 8% after eight years of service, and five weeks at 10% after 14 years of service.

New language introduces a sunset clause, and ensures the posting of vacancies.
