Congratulations to our recent retirees
Here are some of our most recent union member retirees.
Silvestre Arruda retired from Cavendish Appetizers on April 25. Silvestre was at the facility for 39 years. Known to many as Sly, he is seen as being a happy guy and a great union member.
Marjorie Barkwell has retired from Palisade Gardens. Marjorie has decided to part-time at her leisure and spend more time at home gardening and spending time with her nine grandchildren.
Sandra-Dee Leroux worked at the Pharma Plus in Brockville for 34 years. Sandra is looking forward to babysitting her grandson and working in her gardens. Sandra and her sister are planning a trip to Western Canada to reconnect with family.
Irene Wilson has retired from Metro Southgate in Ottawa where she worked since June 1994. Irene is planning a trip to Scotland to visit family, and then plans on spending a lot of time with her grandchildren. She is looking forward to relaxing and enjoying life.
Pictured here is newly retired member Nancy Glofcheskie who worked in the bakery at Metro in Arnprior since 2003. She is looking forward to being able to spend time with her family and especially being able to visit her grandchildren. She says she can’t wait to be able to stay home relaxing by the pool.
Ann Radman started her journey with A&P as a cashier in 1975 at Hwy 10 and Dundas. She then moved to the Durham area and continued to work for A&P in Whitby as a cashier. Ann has also worked in the photo lab and the deli at Metro #106 where she retiring from.
Newly retired member Bibianne Tracy worked at Metro 170 in Kingston for 10 years. Bibianne is moving to Northern Ontario to be close to family. She will enjoy relaxing in her new home.
